Section 01Who we are
TVapp Signage is operated by NordApps ("NordApps", "we", "us", "our"), 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. NordApps is the data controller for personal information processed through the Service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website at tvappsignage.com, the customer dashboard, the official TV applications, and the public REST API (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
Section 02Information we collect
Information you provide
- Your name, email, and password (passwords are stored only as a one-way hash — we never see the plaintext).
- Optional account details such as business name, industry, and contact phone.
- Billing information when you subscribe to a paid plan — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Anything you write to us in support tickets, emails, or forms.
Information you publish to your screens
- Names you give your screens, the locations and groupings you set up, and the schedules you configure.
- References to the content you choose to display. Where your content is hosted on third-party servers, we store the references and metadata so we can fetch and display it on your screens — we don't make a separate copy unless caching it on the edge is needed to play it back.
- You are responsible for the lawfulness of any content you publish, including any personal data of third parties it may contain. See our Terms of Service for the full allocation of responsibility.
Information collected automatically
- The IP addresses and approximate location of devices that connect to the Service (both dashboard browsers and paired screens).
- Browser type, device model, operating system, and language preferences.
- Pages visited, features used, error reports, and performance metrics.
- Logs of when your screens come online, sync, and disconnect — used to power the "last seen" indicator and to detect abuse.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Section 03How we use information
- To operate the Service — authenticate you, pair your devices, deliver the content you scheduled, and keep your screens running.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- To send transactional emails (sign-in verifications, billing receipts, security alerts). We don't send marketing email unless you opt in.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To enforce our Terms of Service, including investigating suspected violations.
- To improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
What we don't do: we do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content you publish to train machine-learning models. We do not share customer lists with advertising networks.
Section 04Sharing with service providers
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under written agreements that bind them to confidentiality and to processing on our instructions:
- Cloudflare — hosting, edge network, and database (D1).
- Email delivery provider — transactional messages.
- Payment processor — once paid plans launch, to handle billing.
- Error-monitoring provider — to capture crash reports so we can fix bugs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their independent use.
Section 05Law enforcement, legal process, and other disclosures
We may — and where required by law we will — preserve, access, use, and disclose account information, content references, logs, IP addresses, device identifiers, and any other information in our possession or control in order to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, search warrant, lawful government request, or other valid legal process in any jurisdiction in which we operate or are subject.
- Respond to emergency requests where we believe in good faith that disclosure may prevent imminent death, serious physical injury, or other serious harm.
- Enforce our Terms of Service, including investigating suspected breaches, infringement, or abuse.
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, technical, or abuse issues.
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of TVapp Signage, our users, our employees, or the public.
- Cooperate with rights-holders and complainants under the takedown procedures described in our Terms of Service.
Where applicable law permits, we may make these disclosures without notice to you, and we may not be able to inform you when the law (for example, a non-disclosure order, gag order, or national-security demand) prohibits notice. We may also preserve information at the request of law enforcement pending receipt of formal legal process. By using the Service, you consent to these disclosures and waive any claim against us arising from a good-faith disclosure made under this Section.
Section 06International transfers
The Service runs on a globally distributed edge network. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your country. Where applicable law requires, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by competent authorities.
Section 07Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies:
- A session cookie set after you log in. It identifies you to the dashboard.
- A CSRF cookie that protects you from cross-site request attacks.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on the authenticated dashboard. If we ever add product analytics or marketing cookies, we will list them here and provide opt-out controls.
Section 08Data retention
- Account data — kept while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion, to handle reversal requests and resolve disputes.
- Screen and schedule configurations — deleted when you delete the corresponding resource or your account.
- Logs and security events — kept for up to 12 months. Longer where needed for ongoing investigations, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.
- Billing records — kept as long as required by tax and accounting law in our jurisdiction (typically up to 7 years).
- Data preserved at the request of law enforcement — kept for the period required by the request or by law.
Section 09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- Access to a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion of your data (subject to retention obligations above).
- Objection to certain processing.
- Data portability — an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@tvappsignage.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Section 10Security
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) on every endpoint.
- Passwords are hashed; we never store or transmit them in plain text.
- Each paired screen receives its own secure device key. You can revoke access from the dashboard in one click.
- Internal access to production data is restricted to a small number of people on a need-to-know basis.
No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@tvappsignage.com.
Section 11Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes that affect your rights, we'll notify you by email or via a notice in the dashboard before the change takes effect.
